The Boho Festival Wedding

(105 guests + 50 evening guests - photographs by Jason Williams Photography)

Jess and Michael’s gorgeous September wedding brought relaxed boho vibes to Kingsettle…

On set-up day, Jess and her bridesmaids rocked matching hoodies whilst styling our Victorian walled garden and Courtyard with masses of stylish homemade details and the most amazing flower arrangements created by Jess’s Mum.

After their wedding ceremony at St Cross Church in Winchester, Jess and Michael arrived to meet their guests in their vintage VW camper van, with Jess wearing a beautiful Ivory & Co dress with her hair in chic natural waves and Michael in a dapper Marc Darcy suit with tweed waistcoat.

Everyone was welcomed into our walled garden for a drinks reception with a full-sized personalised surfboard, and guests enjoyed a delicious grazing table created by the brilliant caterers McCrimmon & Reid whilst having fun playing with a coconut shy and garden games, and listening to music performed by The Bossard Quartet. Signs hung from the old plant supports on the Victorian walls showed the order of the evening to help keep things on track.

After a stroll over to the Courtyard and the speeches, McCrimmon & Reid served an incredible dinner. The space was beautifully decorated; the Carriage Room was laid with rustic tables hired from Purple Door Props complemented by elegant crossback chairs from Crystal Hire, and extended with a smart stretch tent from All The Kit. The table plan was set out in pots of fragrant herbs which added a lovely feature, and a stylish horsebox bar from Burlington Berties fitted in perfectly.

Evening guests arrived and the party ramped up with great live music by band Plugged In. Jess and Michael used the old stables super creatively, setting up a photo booth in one stall and a fabulous whiskey and cigar bar in another. Hops and twinkling lights complemented the earthy tones, and pots of succulents were ideal to stand up to the heat of a scorching summer. The party was fuelled by sourdough wood-fired pizzas by Proven Slice, served from their milk float food truck.

On the day coordinator Beth Allen kept everything running smoothly and ensured the wedding party could relax and enjoy the day.

Jess and Michael rented the entire venue, including the main house, cottage and huts (with wood-fired hot tubs!), as well as setting up a Boutique Bell glamping village and a DIY camping area for their die-hard camping friends with tents and camper vans. This made the wedding into a truly joyful weekend celebration!
